Continuing my fantasy art kick, this time with a character portrait of a drow for a friend's Dungeons and Dragons game. I wanted to play a character who fit every ultra-gothic edgelord fantasy warlock trope in his backstory, but lost it all and had to start over completely from scratch (thus the child's "My First Spellbook" under his arm).
I see this guy launching into dark, dramatic monologues about crushing his enemies, and then being interrupted by audible Duolingo-like reward music and magical gold stars in his spellbook every time.
Vector drawing in Adobe Fresco on my iPad, then finished in Adobe Illustrator with my Wacom tablet.
I think I got just the right amount of haughtiness.
