During the summers I take my Putney School Summer Arts drawing students to the farm to draw animals. I was wandering around the small animal barn and I stopped in a little side room so I could wash my hands. I got a strong feeling that I was being watched, and when I looked to my right there was a chicken in a bucket eyeing me warily.
I did the line work and most of the shading on the chicken while she was sitting there in front of me, but I snapped a photo so I could finish the background back in my classroom.
When I went back later to check on her, she'd escaped the confines of the sink room and gone her merry way, but not before laying an egg. Good job, bucket chicken.
