During Adobe MAX 2018 I had just enough time to shake Aaron Draplin's hand and ask if he'd be down to let me draw him. He was, and I took three reference photos. Two of them were hopelessly blurry, and one was just kinda sorta ok, so I made do.
Actually, I think I made do pretty darned well.
It felt appropriate that this drawing went through a ton of iterations. Here are only a few pieces from that process, as I was too into it to take screenshots while I was fighting with color, rounded corners, and offset strokes.
