I started this drawing about a decade ago. My advanced students were doing the "nemesis" project (where they pair off and create a pair of nemeses who are opposites in some way) but we had an odd number of people. One student was down to collaborate with me, and we went with an evil necromancer (him) and a brawny hero who regenerates (me). I bit off way more than I could chew with this one, mostly because my plastic skeleton model didn't have bend-able fingers and I struggled to get the hands to look realistic. I eventually got distracted by other things.
I don't know what made me go back to this over the weekend, but I'm so glad I did. It's finally done, and I'm totally in love with it.

My sketch and some stages of my unfinished draft from ten years ago. I got pretty far, but ugh, those hands.
